NEW WRITING FUND
This production will run at Theatro Technis, London from 25-26 March 2016.
Genre: New Writing
Following the sell out successes of ‘A Single Act’, ’The Norman Conquests’ and ‘Punk Rock’, Duelling Productions returns to Theatro Technis to celebrate new writing for the very first time. Through careful collaboration with Hiive.com, Duelling Productions brings new / emerging voices and visions to the London Fringe. The plays selected tackle Aspergers, politics, false imprisonment and the recent downfall of Kids Company.
THE McCONNELL NEW WRITING FUND is in loving memory of the late playwright and our dear friend, Jean McConnell. This production has offered four emerging writers and directors the opportunity to have their work produced and showcased on the London Fringe. Each Playwright and Director were the successful applicants out of 200 entries to the competition we launched on Hiive in 2015. These plays have all taken their cue from the theme: Power.
